Embassy Suites Greensboro-Airport Finalizes Renovation.

John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts has completed a $6 million dollar renovation of its Embassy Suites in Greensboro, NC.

The Company said the multi-year renovation, executed in three phases, modernized the hotel's 219 guest suites and bathrooms, redesigned the public space and restaurant, and upgraded 13,000 square feet of meeting and convention space.

According to a release, the Embassy Suites Greensboro is a full service suite product in the Greensboro Airport market. The combination of the spacious two-bay suite with common space in the atrium and the 13,000 square feet of multifunctional meeting space positions this hotel to service transient and group business.

"Our renovated guest suites and meeting space are among the largest in the Greensboro-Airport area, and the impact of the investment we made to upgrade our public space and guestroom technology now positions us as the most modern property in the airport market," said Chris Browell, Embassy Suites Greensboro General Manager. "Our contemporary two-bay guest suites now feature completely updated bathrooms and redesigned in-room work areas, as well as a 37-inch flat screen TV equipped with cable/satellite, in-room pay-per-view movies and in-room check-out. Also our guests will find high-speed wireless Internet access throughout the hotel."

The Company noted that the renovation refreshed the hotel's signature atrium, turning it into a focal point for guests to socialize, relax and stay connected. The lobby, pool, business and fitness centers have also been fully renovated, including the addition of Precor Fitness exercise equipment.

Located near the Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO), Embassy Suites is convenient to the Greensboro business district, home of Dell and Volvo Trucks North America, and many local colleges including Guilford College and the University of North Carolina - Greensboro.
