Samsung lands Sprint's WiMAX contract for New York.(BROADBAND BEAT)(Brief article)

Samsung got the contract to build Sprint's WiMAX network in the New York City region. Samsung has already been building Sprint's WiMAX network in Washington, DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Boston and Providence. Sprint said it expects mobile Internet services to be available for New York area customers in late 2008. Samsung will manufacture and install radio access equipment and supply chipsets and mobile devices. Motorola won Sprint's WiMAX contract for Chicago.
