FED: Coalition takes 60 per cent of major party donations

The federal coalition received $4.22 million in donations last year -- more than 60per cent of donations given to the major political parties.

The Australian Electoral Commission says the Liberal and National Parties, which attractabout half the national vote, were helped along with $4.22 million in donations during2001-02.
